1. How did you get your start in the business?

I started in 2012 helping local brick and mortar businesses like cafe chains and landscapers in the Boston area setup and optimize their local business listings on Google.

2. What is your biggest inspiration for helping others with their brand?

Some of my biggest inspiration is the art visuals that appeal to me and how they represent a brand to its audience. Every brand deserves to be seen by the audience they help. Watching aspiring indie artists grow their branding and develop into a fully monetized business is a huge inspiration for me.

3. Whats next for you?

I plan to create better educational materials for my followers. Visual aids that teach them the best practices for marketing who they are and what they do. My long term goal is to author a New York Times best seller about my experience in digital marketing and social media.

4. One is the hardest thing you’ve dealt with in regards to marketing a client?

Reprogramming how a client or manager thinks is always a constant challenge. Artists copy other artists and often copy their mistakes. There’s no cheat sheet when it comes to marketing just work and a to do list. There’s a huge gap between indie and major artists and businesses. Often times indie artists stay small by rushing the process of their come up and how it’s strategized.

5. How important is SEO?

SEO is the most crucial factor in managing reputation and appeal. It determines how something is found and what is seen. In that aspect it’s what the audience depends on to find critical info and understood who you are and what you do. You can have the best products or music but lack SEO power to get in front of the right people the right way. More effort invested into SEO is an investment into audience experience.
